Why did I automatically get labeled as one of the weird kids?

In simpler means, I had just moved from a fairly good sized town where i seemed to be worshiped and people loved to be around me but i wasn't sure why. But when I moved to a bigger town, bigger school it seemed as if i was automaticly inserted with some of the loosers (When i say loosers i mean kids that dont have a life and coated in complete imaturety) heres another fact that i'm trying to say im not wanting a boatload of friends but i'm kind of curious why i got automaticly labeled as a weird/nerdy etc. kids. I'm in highschool and i'm also wondering how i can make myself get upped in the group? I would like some educated thoughts that would help please..?
