Is it normal to have milky discharge?

I know discharge is normal, but mine comes out milky, thick, and by the boatloads. The best I can describe the smell is something along the lines of bad sour cream. I am sexually active and I know my partner doesn't have STD's or any sexual disease. Is this normal?
